Welcome to 2019. Hopefully your holidays and New Years celebrations were fun and at least at some point restful. Last year at about this time I launched Studio.Stage.Live with my first blog post with the intention of writing a blog post a week for at least one year. My goal was to share and hopefully begin actively collaborating in the community of sound engineers across the US and get to know folks around the world. Thank you so much for hanging out with me as I venture down this road in writing and professional development. In writing about so many different topics I’ve learned about so many things and made so many changes that I only noticed because I was writing about it. I hope you all have been able to glean as much as I did throughout this process.
This next year I hope to bring you a lot of the same content but hopefully some new content from some new authors. In that same light, I am extending an offer to any of you that have something to say and would like to join the Studio.Stage.Live team. I’m looking for a few folks to help me continue to bring you weekly content and expand the resources that can be found here. Right now it’s just me and a few people who help me edit posts but I’d like grow and learn from you too. I’m looking for writers and video makers alike! Secondly, I know that I sort of live in a bubble here in North America. I have access to just about any tool that I need and have a great environment to work in. WIth that in mind, what are some topics that you’d love to see addressed this year? Is there something you have been fighting against every time you mix? Any questions about your gear or how I use my stuff? Are you interested in knowing why we buy the way we do? How about what mic to use in a given set of situation?
