2019: Year in Review

Well it’s that time of year again. I know this isn’t the most glamorous of posts and there won’t be any practical learning here but I have used these surveys in the past to direct future writing and help to make decisions that you folks will appreciate. Please take the time to fill out the survey below. It’s just a few short questions that make a big difference in the content that is created throughout this coming year.

But before you do that, I wanted to share some of the new things coming to the site over the next few months. To start with I have at least one new author/engineer joining the team. As I continue to write and meet new people I always keep an eye for people who can provide a different perspective than I can in order to keep what you’re learning very diverse. As I grew up, I was able to learn from not just live audio guys but from studio and broadcast guys as well which helped me form a broader set of skills. The hope is that this blog will give you that same range of information. Next I am very close to finalizing a new way to view the “From the Booth” videos so that you can better see each angle and be able to select what you want allowing for higher resolution video. The YouTube style videos will still be available but this new way will help you dig into the details if you want. You’ll understand better when you see it. Lastly, and this is the stretch goal, I’d love to get a few training videos up that would allow you to see what I’m talking about rather than just read it. In any case, there are big things coming to Studio.Stage.Live!

Thanks again for stopping by, please take the time to fill out the survey. As always, we’ll see you on the flipside!
